The Twelve Principles of Green Chemistry
Prevention It is better to prevent waste than to treat or clean up waste after it has been created.
Atom Economy Synthetic methods should be designed to maximize the incorporation of all materials used in the process into the final product.
Less Hazardous Chemical Syntheses Wherever practicable, synthetic methods should be designed to use and generate substances that possess little or no...

#retrosynthesis
*read from bottom to top*
If you won’t even remember the rest of this “kultwit”, just remind urself to think backward, from the future to the present. #retrosynthesis
Break down the future you want into achievable “intermediates” and note down the conditions to be fulfilled. #retrosynthesis

Don't be fooled and stay calm, people!
“There is still time to act and avoid a worsening climate, but we are wasting precious time. We can solve the challenge of climate change with a gradually rising fee on carbon collected from fossil-fuel companies, with 100 percent of the money rebated to all legal residents on a per capita basis. This would stimulate innovations and create a robust clean-energy economy with millions of new...

Note on #2ndphotosynthesisworkshop
I have been recalling about what were being discussed during the photosynthesis workshop. The workshop was a very fruitful one which comprised a large span of knowledge from various points of view, from biology to photonics. They (the speakers) brought forwards the findings from what they (and their supersmart PhD students of course) have been working on. Some talked about the ‘miracles’ they...

Here it goes the list of invited speakers and their website’ links. I would say they are the men behind! I am so grateful to have the opportunity ot attend the workshop. May I gain a lot (insight and network)! Amen.

Do we read scientific magazines?
I just suddenly came up with this wondering… DO scientists read scientific magazines? Or they just read scientific articles and reviews from ACS, RSC, Nature Publishing etc.? Sorry, my examples are biased. I am a Chemist :)
Here you go, I would like to share you some bits where you can find light reading about world’s curiosity and some mesmerizingly exciting discoveries :)
